As our long-term partners on multiple projects in the past, team behind Astarta mentioned they were embarking a journey to open a luxury French perfume boutique. We talked with them about their business and marketing plans and we mentioned we would love to help place them in the world and be the agency that will make them shine by applying all our skills and what we call Full Ginger Solution.
As this was a blank-slate project, we knew that there is an insane amount of work in front of us, and we systematically approached to it. We first understood the motives and the goals of Astarta team, and decided to first start work on branding the new company. With a properly setup branding, Astarta visuals and messaging would be clear, and we could jump on web development of the ecommerce website for the new boutique. During the development of the online shop, we were already working on preparation of digital marketing strategy and SEO strategy that was going to showcase how special Astarta brand is.
Upon our first encounter with Astarta, it was clear that this is not going to be an ordinary perfume boutique. They had a story, rooted in the traditions of French perfumery yet modern in its aspirations. Our challenge was to translate this essence into a brand that resonated both visually and emotionally.
The initial branding visuals unveil a stark contrast between black and white, embodying the duality of classic and contemporary. The elegant typography of the “ASTARTA PARFUMS” logo, accentuated against monochromatic backdrops, offers an immediate aura of sophistication. This design choice wasn’t merely aesthetic; it mirrored the boutique’s philosophy of offering fragrances that were timeless yet bold.
Color Palette: The predominant use of black and white is a classic choice, associated with luxury and timeless elegance. The high contrast makes the text easily readable and stands out, especially in the context of a perfume label.
Typography: The font used is bold and modern. The capitalized letters lend a sense of authority and prominence to the brand name.
Our designers worked on the first set of labels for Astarta perfume, and we created a design that exudes sophistication and elegance. With the prominently displayed perfume name, and clean information layout, Astarta perfume label keeps the mandatory feel of luxury and elegance, while having additional information in the shape of scent profile, that instantly informs perfume enthusiasts.
Diving deeper into branding, we helped flesh out the story of Astarta and finalize their corporate design. The business cards Ginger designed present a sleek design, providing essential details without overwhelming the senses. As you move your fingers across the card, you’re reminded of the tactile sensation of a perfume bottle, smooth yet profound.
The letterheads and official documentation stay consistent with the brand’s core design language. Subtle watermarks with the Astarta emblem evoke an air of exclusivity. And as every correspondence ends, the signature, much like the final notes of a perfume, leaves a lasting impression.
But branding is not just about visuals, it’s also about experiences. Ginger IT Solutions ensured Astarta’s online presence was just as captivating. The email signature, a seemingly small touch, is meticulously crafted, ensuring that every digital correspondence is a gentle reminder of Astarta’s luxurious identity.
Our primary goal was to design a user-friendly e-commerce platform using WooCommerce (WordPress e-commerce plugin) for ASTARTA PARFUMS, allowing their clientele to purchase perfumes online seamlessly. In addition, the platform would host blog posts detailing the intricacies of their products, enhancing customer engagement and brand knowledge.
Our primary challenge was to represent Astarta’s luxury and sophisticated brand in an online shop setting. It was essential that the online platform we developed echoed this sentiment without compromising on functionality.
By applying best UX/UI practices, we ensured Astarta clientele would have smooth transition from product selection to purchase.
We created visually appealing design and ensured its fidelity across devices. Clear categories and filters aid our users in finding desired products effortlessly and the integrated trusted payment gateway ensures safe and seamless online shopping experience.
Astarta shop includes functionalities such as user registration/login, wishlisting, smart search and filtration.
To cover different marketing funnel stages, we carefully approached design of collection and single blog pages. We created a clean and interactive blog section, encouraging users to delve deeper into the brand’s story and product details. Embedded high-quality images and smart categorization.
The importance of website responsiveness cannot be overstated, as it directly influences user experience, accessibility, and search engine rankings. For Astarta Parfumes, implementing responsiveness on their E-Commerce website was paramount to ensuring that customers could seamlessly navigate and shop across various devices, from desktops to smartphones.
By adopting a mobile-first design approach, we ensured that the site’s layout, images, and functionalities adapted fluidly to different screen sizes, enhancing usability and engagement. This implementation not only improved the overall customer journey but also positively impacted Astarta Parfumes’ conversion rates, as users were more likely to complete purchases on a user-friendly platform. Moreover, the responsive design contributed to better search engine performance, making the site more discoverable to potential customers and driving organic traffic.
Marketing is a significant part of our collaboration with Astarta. We were tasked to create and end-to-end strategy for their online marketing efforts.
As initial steps we made sure to integrate tracking and analytics tools into the website through staging and production environments and prepare everything for deployment. Testing of analytics, preparation of A/B tests, technical SEO best pracitces and other technical aspect of digital marketing was prepared by our development and SEO team. We are using Google Tag Manager for managing different analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, Hotjar…) and adding in custom scripts to enhance the data of primary ones.
Currently we are working on plans for implementation of the strategies we devised with Astarta and preparing for the launch in the early 2024.
Initially, we delved deep into the brand’s core values and target audience to create a cohesive branding strategy, ensuring every element, from the logo to the visual identity, resonated with the intended market and brand ethos. The logo design process was iterative, involving client feedback and creative exploration, resulting in a symbol that perfectly encapsulates the brand’s essence.
We then transitioned to developing an e-commerce website, prioritizing a seamless user experience (UX) and an intuitive user interface (UI).
Label design was another critical component of our project, where we focused on aligning the product packaging with the overall brand identity, ensuring consistency across all physical and digital touchpoints.
As the E-Commerce platform came to life, we emphasized crafting a responsive design that offered a frictionless shopping experience across desktop and mobile devices.
Currently, we are in the process of creating a comprehensive digital marketing strategy to propel the brand forward.
